I have always been a fan of "To think that I Saw It On Mulberry Street," which also centers on a vivid imagination, but Dad doesn't get a lesson in remembering to play at the end. Hope you'll join us again this week!Annehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06194423735922298630noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3551400222809010557.post-33584028567799546932010-08-09T14:24:29.950-04:002010-08-09T14:24:29.950-04:00Thanks for joining WMCIR and sharing your picks! Anna is fascinated by Alexander's book, probably because it's completely "real" to her. At the same time I am very doubtful that she will like mischievous Ted.Natalie PlanetSmartyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03531558038661679151noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3551400222809010557.post-51454456301742568102010-08-07T17:49:43.206-04:002010-08-07T17:49:43.206-04:00I have one particularly emotional little boy, who ...I have one particularly emotional little boy, who has always loved Alexander. When he's having a bad day, that book can always make him smile - and I'm quite fond of the illustrations. But, I could see where not every child would care for it, because things don't turn around, they just continue on.An Almost Unschooling Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07784076035361200243noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3551400222809010557.post-42476655093699702352010-08-06T21:45:08.656-04:002010-08-06T21:45:08.656-04:00I think we've read Ted sometime in the past. ...I think we've read Ted sometime in the past. And I can relate to your ds being worried about the characters in a book. I have two girls who are pretty sensitive, too.

Thanks for linking up again!Amy @ Hope Is the Wordhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07949836482747469686noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3551400222809010557.post-74502331835040236732010-08-06T11:47:47.981-04:002010-08-06T11:47:47.981-04:00I'm definitely going to check out that first b...I'm definitely going to check out that first book. We read chapter books at bedtime but Hannah still appreciate a good picture book. I'm surprised Froggy didn't like the Alexander book. Hannah has it and reads it fairly often. I think she is reassured that she isn't the only one that has bad days. I guess she can relate to the main character. I do wish there was a happy ending though.Jenniferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10247226913833623138noreply@blogger.com
