Bye bye toddlerhood

My little girl is no longer a toddler. She is a child fully capable of playing with the big kids. Today she got her first real bike. She has been asking for one for ages now. I told her she could have one for her birthday if she showed me she could ride it in the store. She did. I told her Daddy and he insisted on seeing for himself. No problem. Off we went as a family so the little girl could strut her stuff and home we came with a beautiful fully assembled non-licensed (ie no characters on it) bike. Froggy was so proud of herself, she could not contain it and bounced the whole way home.
As well Froggy is now taking both swim class and ballet.She is doing well in swimming and seems to like the coach well enough. Her ability to propel herself through the water is still non existent.But she is so much more comfortable in the water.We went swimming as a family last night.Froggy wanted to go down the slide into the water over and over again even though it meant she would go completely und…

Frittata Recipe

The Big Frittata Ingredients: 2 Tbs. olive oil
2 cups filling ingredients: as desired (baby artichokes in halves, chopped asparagus, scallion, zucchini, red pepper, or roma tomato)
Salt and ground black pepper
1 medium garlic clove, minced
8 large eggs
3 Tbs. grated Parmesan cheese
3 oz. additional cheese
2 Tbs. minced fresh parsley or basil Preparation: Adjust oven rack to the upper-middle position and heat oven to 400 degrees. For sauteed filling ingredients: Heat oil in 10-inch ovenproof nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Add the prepared ingredients, seasoning them with salt and pepper; saute until lightly browned, 6 to 8 minutes, reduce the heat to low, add garlic, and cook to blend flavors, about 1 minute longer. Or for steam/sauteed filling ingredients: Put oil, 2 to 4 tablespoons water, filling ingredients, a sprinkling of salt and pepper, and garlic in 10-inch skillet. Back on the wagon

Ok so I fell out of touch over the summer. We are back on the band wagon now. The new school year is up and running. And there will be lots more post to come
