Pulled BBQ Chicken

This is a fantastic recipe given to me by a friend.  It makes tons so I recommend cutting it in half unless you want leftovers or are feeding an army. 

4 pounds of chicken
1 cup of onions- chopped
2 cloves of garlic- minced or 1/2 teaspoon dry powder (not garlic salt)
1 1/2 cups of ketchup
1/2 cup of water
1/4 cup of worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup of white vinegar
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons of chili powder
2 teaspoons of brown sugar
1 tablespoon of yellow mustard

Mix all ingredients in a crock pot.  Add pork or chicken stir in so
meat is coated.  Cook 8-12 hours on low.  Shred the meat and serve on
buns.

  1. This sounds wonderful!! Do you recommend white or dark meat chicken for this?

  2. I have used both (even in the same batch). I prefer the white meat because that is what I prefer to eat.
